Why?

If you have been to any mall on a Friday night you have undoubtedly seen the flocks of lost teenagers hanging out in dark corners acting out their burning desires to be adults. They ache for identity in a world that is only too eager to suck them into the wrong scene.
Acts29 is about giving our teens a place to find entertainment, guidance and a group to explore their identity in a safe space that will only offer them the correct options rather than the cigarettes and bottles of lies that are available in the malls and house parties.

Where?

We meet in the youth room @ BBC, equipped with all the bells and whistles of a northern suburbs home. Each Friday night the group gets together and climbs into some organized games and original activities that keep them entertained until 10pm. They also get nuggets of teaching that aim to equip them better to meet the challenges of being a teen in a hostile world.

The result of my behaviour back then was a string of broken hearts and a cargo plane of baggage.

Why do we expect God to help us while we hold onto the junk that causes sin?

-The dude who prays for liberation from a porn addiction while spending hours a day alone in front of his home PC.

-The girl who longs for breakthrough from her eating disorder while still carrying her toothbrush around to brush after vomiting.

-A father desperately in debt but holds onto his credit card in case he finds a good deal on a TV he doesn’t need.

We could go on, but you can easily fit your own junk in there because we have all done it in some way.
