“Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Communion serves as a tangible reminder of the fact that Jesus came into the world and gave His life on the cross as an atoning sacrifice for our sin. It seems crazy that we could forget that, but the simple truth is that we do, and so Jesus commanded us to do it as a remembrance of Him. (1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
