We partner with an organization called Hope for Women who assist in the rescuing, restoration and re-integration of Human trafficking victims. We are hosting a movie night with them where we will be screening a documentary that chronicles the epic battle that several American mothers are waging on behalf of their middle-school daughters, victims of sex-trafficking on an adult classifieds site. It is a gut-wrenching story that has a fresh look at a social and legal issue that affects every community around the world.
The purpose of this event is to raise awareness on Human Trafficking… what is happening in our country and on a global scale. To help educate and equip people on what human Trafficking looks like and how it can be prevented.
Taking place on Thursday 26th October, at BBC. Tickets on sale at the door, R80 cash or card (includes light snacks). Doors open at 18h30 and film starts at 19h00.
