CALL TO THE CHURCH
As we strive to faithfully shepherd God’s flock which is under our care, by making effective and wise decisions in the midst of this pandemic to the glory of God, we are persuaded that we need a posture that will see us continue to mature in Christ and advance His Kingdom.
Therefore, we are calling the church to adopt a posture of:
- Trusting in God
- Not neglecting our call to Christian community through appropriate and safe ways
- Continuing to love, care for and edify the saints
- Reaching the lost in compassionate love with the Gospel
- Supporting our government in preventing new infections as far as possible
Through much prayer and deliberation, with the above posture in mind, the Elders have decided to suspend the Sunday church gathering at BBC at this time however, Christian Community continues in our Elder-led, Opt-in Whatsapp Communities for Members and Congregants that are not in a Gospel Community (Link below). As we keep monitoring the situation, further updates will follow.
This is not a decision we have made in fear, but with wise caution and great intentionality. We are seizing the opportunity to reposition the church, in light of the current perception in this pandemic and lockdown, for greater effectiveness in maturing in Christ and spreading the Gospel.
To achieve this, we believe that decentralizing our Sunday gathering into smaller expressions within Christian community, for an appropriate time, will ensure that the church continues to be edified as we experience the fullness of Jesus Christ.
Once again, Christian Community continues in our Elder-led, Opt-in Whatsapp Communities for Members and Congregants that are not in a Gospel Community. You can opt-in to these communities by applying with the button below. Community content begins on Friday the 27th of March.
