As sisters in Christ, we love to get together to glean truth from God’s Word, hear stories of his grace in one another’s lives and learn how to apply gospel truths to our everyday struggles and triumphs. By Grace is BBC’s Women’s ministry, which has been recently launched with these goals in mind. As life is crazy-busy in these northern suburbs and we cannot all commit to everything, we have four different avenues in which we can grow together as women in community. Start somewhere and go as deep as you can with the time that you have. You will not regret it.
Four times this year we will meet up as a group of ladies – young and old, whether it is just a small group of 15 or a larger group of 200 ladies, to share in a short but impactful time of hearing God’s word, worshipping God in song, hearing stories of God’s grace and taking time for God to minister to our hearts through prayer and time of ministry.
We desire to be authentic and transparent in our ministry times together. This means that we are free to come as we are and to leave our pretenses at the door. We want this time to be a space for our women to be truly vulnerable before God, to sing and pray in total freedom, without fear of what others may think (while still being considerate and respectful to others around them). We hope that these times together will spark the desire to build deeper friendships, seek intentional gospel-centred relationships and a real sense of community among us.
Time: 18h30 – 20h15
Venue: BBC Auditorium
Bring: Your Bible, notebook and pen
Please sign up for these gatherings on a Sunday at the Info Counter or email firstname.lastname@example.org
2. Ladies Bible Studies
Every term a group of ladies get together to study the Bible in depth on a Thursday morning. This often involves homework during the week, but whether or not one has the capacity to do that, you are still welcome to join the discussion time during the Thursday morning gathering. Here we process the material that we have been through at home during the week, and we sometimes watch a related teaching DVD and pray together in our assigned small groups.
It is a wonderful way to get to know Jesus more deeply, and to do that in a community of women. This is a great environment to be discipled and to learn how to disciple others in a community setting.
Booking in advance is essential as material needs to be ordered. To book your spot or for more information please contact Jackie: email@example.com
Venue: BBC Training Room
Cost: R140 - for the workbook (if you would like one)
3. Tuesday Morning Bible Study
Tuesdays, 09h30 - 11h30
Age group: 50+

4. Mom’s Group
On most Tuesday mornings, a small group of women with babies meet to study the Bible or to go through the sermon series being covered at church. This is a great time to meet other ladies in the same season of life, which is often difficult for others to understand. It can be a lonely season and due to the lack of available quite time, spiritually dry too. This low key group provides one avenue to be with like-minded Christian ladies, who want to grow in their walk with Christ and have gospel-input. This is run by a mom in our church named Mandy Caw. Please do contact her should you want to join the group or find out more about how it runs.
Dates: Tuesday Mornings. Please contact email@example.com to ensure that they are not on school holiday breaks.
Venue: BBC Noah’s Ark
Bring: Your bible, notebook and pen
